I would like to introduce you to the Hughes and Liang Diversity Intelligence® Assessment Tool (©2020). The tool costs $199.99 per leader. Volume discounts are available.

DQ helps leaders carry out their mission of meeting standards of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) and assists them as they begin developing and/or enhancing a DEIB program. DQ helps leaders value all employees.

Leaders will receive their overall Diversity Intelligence® (DQ), DQ Knowledge, DQ Training and Education, and DQ Behavior scores with basic explanations. The assessment takes between 15-20 minutes to complete and is validated and reliable at over 95% confidence level.

Here are some key concepts about DQ:

DQ requires an understanding of all employees and where diversity in the workplace originated and why.

  • Misinformation leads to inequity and a lack of diversity leadership capability.
  • DQ is a missing component of diversity training and leadership development and is essential to leader success.

DQ Assessment

Measures Overall DQ, DQ Knowledge, DQ Training and Education, and DQ Behavior.

Help leaders Integrate DQ alongside intellectual (IQ), emotional (EQ), and cultural intelligences (CQ) to effectively lead followers.

With DQ, Leadership

  1. Recognize differences between themselves and others without it being an obstacle to performance.
  2. Reflect on their actions and behaviors toward all employees and effectively implement new strategies.
  3. Value the differences in employees without attempting to make everyone alike.
  4. Embrace employee differences as strengths rather than weaknesses.

DQ Self Improvement

Leaders will know if they have the education and training needed to behave and communicate with all employees.

They will be cognizant of their current behavior towards employees.

DQ Self Awareness

Leaders will be conscious of what they know about different employees.

DQ Confidence

With DQ, leaders are no longer guessing or unsure about what they think they know and how they behave.

Understanding DQ allows leaders to communicate their knowledge to executive leadership so that the training and education is more structured towards the exact needs of the organization.
